Paul R. Sparks – Managing Principal | President
Paul Sparks is responsible for the overall management and performance of RealOp Investments. He serves on the Investment Committee and is directly involved in setting RealOp’s strategy in investment management, development, financial operations and risk management of the firm and its subsidiaries. With more than 20 years of real estate investment and private equity experience, Paul has completed real estate transactions with an aggregate value in excess of $2 billion. Prior to joining RealOp Investments, Paul was Executive Vice President, Senior Credit Executive, of a multi-billion dollar commercial bank based in South Carolina.
Paul earned a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of Alabama, Master’s degree from Louisiana State University School of Banking and also completed Harvard Business School’s Leadership in Financial Organizations program. Mr. Sparks is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, an active member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) and the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).
Reggie D. Bell – Principal | Chief Executive Officer
Reggie has oversight responsibility for RealOp’s Capital Markets and Business Development divisions. He also sits on the Investment Committee and guides the execution of the firm’s marketing strategy. Reggie cofounded Colonial Commercial Group in 2009 along with Todd Justice, which was rebranded as RealOp Investments in 2012. Prior to cofounding the company, Reggie was Asset Manager/Vice President of RealtiCorp Commercial Investment Fund, based in Greenville, SC, where he managed all fund assets and provided oversight of all acquisitions and dispositions. He holds a degree in Construction Science and Management from Clemson University and has been involved in commercial real estate development, construction, entitlement, brokerage and investments for over 20 years.
Kyle G. Putnam, CCIM – Principal | Chief Investment Officer
Kyle is responsible for sourcing, evaluating, structuring, and underwriting potential investment opportunities. Prior to RealOp, he was responsible for the development of more than $30 million of commercial real estate assets for a retail and multifamily developer. Over the course of his career he has sourced approximately $400 million of real estate investments. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of South Carolina with a double major in Real Estate and Finance and also received a Masters in Real Estate Development from Clemson University.
Seph Wunder – Principal | Chief Operating Officer
Seph is responsible for advising team members in terms of legal matters and generally overseeing various legal affairs such as negotiating real estate contracts, loan agreements, leases and vendor contracts, managing external legal counsel and assisting with the management of human resource issues. Seph’s previous experience includes serving as General Counsel for Johnson Development Associates, Inc., a national real estate development company as well as a private corporate attorney for the law firm of Haynsworth Sinkler Boyd, P.A. where he advised companies, developers, institutions and governments in a variety of complex financial and corporate transactions. He is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame and the University of South Carolina School of Law.
Mike Johnson – Principal | Chief Corporate Officer
Mike has more than 15 years of corporate finance and securities experience, including serving with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission at its headquarters in Washington, D.C. and as a Partner in the corporate and securities practice of Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough. Mike has focused his career exclusively on advising publicly-traded NYSE and Nasdaq listed businesses on federal and state securities matters and both public and private companies in connection with capital markets transactions, including firm-commitment initial public offerings, SEC registered mergers and acquisitions, and private equity and venture capital backed private placements. He is a graduate of Washington State University and Willamette University College of Law.
